FLOWERS & TRADITION AT THE HEART OF YOUR chuppah

Chuppah

In a Jewish wedding, the union is symbolised by the chuppah, a structure that is both symbolic and spiritual. Combining tradition and floral design, discover this special moment enhanced by customised decorations.

WHY CHOOSE A Chuppah?

Choosing a chuppah is respecting a fundamental pillar of Jewish ceremony. It symbolises the home that the bride and groom will build together, a space open to the sky, a sign of protection and divine presence.

Beyond tradition, the chuppah becomes a striking decorative element that can be personalised with flowers, materials and colours of your choice. It allows the bride and groom to experience this intense moment in a unique setting that is spiritual, aesthetic and identity-affirming, between kiddushin (engagement) and nissuin (union).

A Jewish wedding is much more than a union: it is a spiritual and family alliance, deeply rooted in history and tradition. The chuppah (or wedding canopy) is its central symbol. Inspired by the Hebrew Bible, it symbolises welcome, hospitality and the bride and groom's commitment to building an open home based on love and kindness.

Traditionally consisting of four pillars and a Talith as a roof, the Chuppah can be decorated with flowers, which symbolise beauty, purity and blessings for the couple. The ceremony begins with the Kiddush, the blessing of the wine, followed by the exchange of rings, the reading of the Ketubah (marriage contract), and the Sheva Brachot, the seven blessings.

The breaking of the glass, a highlight of the ritual, evokes the destruction of the Temple of Jerusalem, a historical reminder even in the midst of joy. The ceremony ends with a period of seclusion, called Yihud, where the bride and groom share their first moments as husband and wife.

Each stage of a Jewish wedding is meaningful, memorable, and celebrates a deep commitment, between tradition and modernity.

The chuppah, a central element of Jewish weddings, is constructed in strict accordance with religious and cultural traditions.

Always open on all four sides, it symbolises hospitality, welcome and openness to others. Its roof may be covered with a tallit (prayer shawl) or a light-coloured fabric, in reference to the spiritual dimension of the union.

Depending on the wishes of the families and the customs followed (Sephardic, Ashkenazi or others), the chuppah can be decorated in different ways, while respecting the balance between tradition and aesthetics.

Particular attention is paid to every detail to ensure that the installation complies with the rites, symbols and solemnity of the ceremony.
